What travel arrangements are there for people with disabilities?

NGV provides special arrangements for people with disabilities to enable them to travel comfortably and safely. Arrangements may vary depending on the type of disability. Here are some of the general arrangements:

Assistance at Various Ports
We provide special assistance at the airport for people with disabilities. This may include wheelchair services, an attendant to help navigate the airport, or assistance with check-in and security formalities. Please note that people with hearing disabilities are always accompanied.

Transport of Mobility Equipment
We can transport mobility equipment such as wheelchairs, crutches, or canes free of charge. However, it is important to notify us in advance to ensure space is available on board the ship. Service Animals
We allow service animals, such as assistance dogs for the blind, to be transported on board, but you will be charged for the seat.

It's important to note that we have different rules and procedures for each type of disability, so it's recommended that you contact us before your trip to discuss arrangements specific to your needs and disability.

Can I take the ship while pregnant?

Yes, it is possible to travel by boat while pregnant, but it depends on the stage of your pregnancy.

You are authorized to travel up to the 26th week of pregnancy without any specific restrictions. Regardless of the month of pregnancy, a liability waiver is required.
Between the 26th and 32nd weeks of pregnancy, you must have a medical certificate attesting that you are in good health to travel.
Up to the 6th month of pregnancy, a pregnant woman can travel only with the authorization of the seafarers' doctor located at Port Mole (Libreville).
After the 32nd week of pregnancy, you will not be authorized to travel. These are precautionary measures to avoid any risk of complications during the crossing.
Finally, we recommend consulting your doctor before traveling to ensure that your health allows you to travel safely. If you are authorized to travel, we recommend drinking plenty of water and wearing comfortable clothing.
